      The Bruceton to Memphis segment of the Paducah & Memphis Division didn't receive any more advanced method of operation than timetabale/train order operation
      until CTC installation was completed around September 1954.
      DTC = Direct Traffic Control/Manual Block (no CTC or block signals, this is "dark territory").
      CTC = Centralized Traffic Central (no block signals). See Page 42 and Page 43 of NC&STL's "What CTC Did for the Dixie Line" article from the
           February 7, 1955 issue of Railway Age Magazine.
      IHS = Interlocking Home Signals.
      ABS = Automatic Block Signals.
      The main line have no defect detectors and possible used the jointed (bolted) rail all the way.
