The History of Tennessee Midland Railroad & NC&STL Railway at the "The Development of Early Roads and Basic Occupations" by Yesterday's Tennessee

On February 23, 1935, there was a collision between a passenger train and a mixed train located 146 feet in northeast of Lexington Depot (approx. milepost 118.9), which resulted in injury of five passengers, one conductor, one fireman and one porter.
